Title: UK Stainless Exhaust Supplier

Unfortunately my exhaust started blowing today so I need to source a replacement and was wondering if anyone can recommend a UK supplier for stainless systems. I am still torn between stainless and an MB dealer system but currently feel that stainless is probably better for the UK. I have read the many posts regarding US systems and sound quality and would like to canvas opinions on those available in the UK. Tried SLS but they don’t do RHD.

I got a SS system from Heinz Christahl this spring, cost around 400€ collected i Bremen. You can check with him if he can provide you with a RHD system? http://www.mercedes-classics.com (+ I needed SLS's mountingkit)

In UK : Try http://www.larinisystems.com or http://www.quicksilverexhausts.com/ - at least Quicksilver have a WEB showing the Pagoda

My SS system fitted 100% and have a great sound - but mine car is a LHD

Happy hunting - I will think SS is better in UK, as it is in Norway

A few of us here in Ireland got SS systems for our RHD W113's from Socrim in Italy. The price and quality was very good indeed and they were very hyelpful.

Send an email to lucameroni@socrim.com with your chassis and engine number !

The SS one my early 230SL (with the tubular manifolds) is quite sporting though it is louder than regular !

I have a SS system on my 280SL from Socrim as well.
It is louder than stock, but I like it.
The down pipes were about 3 inches too short but Luca did sort the problem. Remind him you need the down pipes for a 'long wheelbase' 113 (for RHD) application. [:p]

There's a company in England call Doubble SS Exhaust. I've used their systems several times and found they were about the same price as a regular Benz system. Quality and fit were top notch and they do carry LHD parts for most Euro cars.

Roger Edwards fitted a s/s system to my 230 8 yrs ago, top job all round and no problems whatsoever..The supplier was Double S exhausts Station Road Cullompton Devon EX15 1BW.Good Luck. Mike From Liverpool
