Wish her happy birthday for me. Perhaps pouring a little scotch in her gas tank would be in order!

Doug,
Are you having a "I just turned 40 and don't believe it" moment?

The pictures were taken in Boca Raton, Florida (originally Boca de Ratones, or "Mouth of the Rat"), a not-too-large city on the Florida east coast, in between Fort Lauderdale and Miami to the south, and Palm Beach to the north. One of the oldest hotels is the Boca Raton Hotel and Club, situated on the Intracoastal Waterway that runs parallel to the ocean. Boca is home to Florida Atlantic University, which is where I spent a few years myself, now more than twenty years ago; I must have been one of the very few students without a car, tooling around town on a Ross Professional bicycle. There are some nice old (in Florida terms) homes, in the Addison Mizner style that is typical of the Florida east coast. All in all, this is a natural habitat for the Pagoda.
Now is the time of the year when I start wondering again why I ever decided to move back to The Netherlands ...

Cees,
Could not have said it better myself...sunny and about 75 degrees F here last Sunday although supposed to me "unseasonable" this weekend in the 90's. No frost on any of the pumpkins here.
