Last winter I got new frontwings and ofcause the car painted, when I got it back from the painter I could see that he had forgot to drill the holes to the antenna and the flashers
Now I have found a new painter, which can drill those holes, but we need the exactly placement of the flashers and the antenna, does anyone have a drawing or anything of this?

Christian,
Do you have a US-spec car with sidemarker lights?

Yes I have an US-spec car, and I know the flashers must be in front of the frontwheel, but I don´t want to spoil the car, so I must know the exact placement of them.
The same problem with the antenna, how many centimeters from the windscreen?

Hi, Christian,
I have a copy of a diagram, in German, that I believe came originally from Becker. It shows specifically how to measure for the hole on a 230SL. Unfortunately, I can't upload the diagram (although it is a jpeg file and I have reduced it to only 42KBytes in size.) [I have been successful at uploading files in the past, but all I get is an error number of '80070070' tonight.]
This diagram shows an imaginary line along the top of the fender, parallel to the engine compartment (hood) opening, 40mm away from (outboard of) the opening. This line should cross the seam between the fender and the door just next to the front pillar, where the fender is closest to the back of the car. The point on this line 320mm forward of the seam (forward from the back edge of the fender) is the center of the antenna hole.
I hope this makes sense. I can email you a copy of the diagram, if needed.

The car looks great without the side marker lights. Why not leave them off?

It is time for a new MOT, the last one was 2 years ago, and I must get a new MOT before december, when I get that it only need MOT every 8 year.
Here in Denmark we must have the side marker lights on in front, but I would agree that it looks great without side marker lights.
When I got it home from North Carolina USA (2004)it had the red side markers on back, but it is not allowed here, so I changed them to orange ones like on the front.
