Hello Naj,
This is the BBB for the earlier models (1959 through 1966). I have this manual also. It does have some specific information for the 230-SL not covered in the later BBB (1966 through 1973). Complete information on all W113's (230, 250, 280 SL's)would need information from both of these BBB's.

And the seller is none other than Claus Stetter, who will appear in the 40th Anniversary poster:

naj - the '59 to '66 Service Manual.... how rare is this? I have one already... intact, all there, but well used (purchased originally new by my father in late '60's from MB Stuttgart). Mine has modifications dates thru Oct '68 so cover's 230SL's and most 250SL's items (I think... but since I've never seen one with modification dates beyond Oct '68 I don't know what particlulars might be in later modification dates if there were any).
Do you or does anybody else have any idea whether there were modification dates later than Oct '68 in the Service Manual for passanger cars from '59.
And what are these worth since MB doesn't publish or have them available in full book form anymore (in English)... I checked the MB Classic site ... this Service Manual isn't offered but may only be on CD.

I bought a BBB through books4cars.com and it covers from 59 through 69 as noted in the inside cover. It does cover the 250SL and was a used book, but is intact. In looking through some of the fuel injenction information, it is a bit light on the 250SL, so having the Haynes manual as a supplement (still available) might be a good idea.

Longtooth,
The later 280 book takes over from where the earlier book stopped.
So later technical data is covered in the new book.
My personal favourite is the earlier book where I learned to change the ignition switch and strip down the cab heating system. These details are not covered in the later book so it paid for itself a few times over.
Value-wise, I paid around $150.00 for the earlier book in almost mint condition except water damage on the last few pages. New 280 books were available at the time from the classic center at around $90.00.
No longer listed in the 2003 catalog.
