Title: Frigiking fuse / pressure switch
Post by: BHap on September 11, 2006, 14:04:14
My air conditioning did not come on today after working "ok" on Saturday (2 days ago).  I have no fan, no little green light and no compressor clicking.  The unit is a Frigiking that was installed in the car when new and has a Sanden compressor which I put in 10 years ago.  I am trying to remember if there is a low pressure switch (the system has a slight leak and the air was only so-so cold the other day) - but I would think the fan would still come on.  Does anyone know where the fuse is usually located for the Frigiking unit?  Any help before I start crawling around is appreciated....  thanks

ok - found an inline, 30A fuse under the dash - black wire running from the Frigiking unit towards the steering column.  don't know why it blew - maybe just old - looks like the insides melted instead of the element burning through....  there is a "puddle" of crust on one side of the glass - oh well - problem solved.
