You are going to get all kinds of recommendations on this one, so I will jump in as well. Don't use dishwashing soap, the chemicals in there are not paint friendly. Just about any good quality automotive type wash will work, and all the major players make them, Griot, Zymol, Mothers, Meguiars. etc. etc.

Swissol

Indeed, http://www.swissol.co.uk/webpage/how_to_use.asp they are happy to tell you what to use as well as how to use it.

Swissol or no, the how to pdf is pretty useful. I use Swissol and have been very very happy with it. NOT cheap though by any stertch of the imagination[:0]

I have the same color scheme and I agree that any car wash will do just fine just don't use dishwashing liquid as it is too harsh.

I use Griot's car wash regularly.  A couple of times per year I use clay, and a good caranuba wax to give it a nice finish.

If you really want to get crazy about detailing, I suggest you visit www.autopia.org

It's a forum for detailers who are really in to it with product reviews, techniques, and recommendations etc.
