Is it ok to re-use the front Caliper mount bolts when I 'do' the front brakes or should I replace them?

Bob, I reused mine, too. Are you rebuilding or replacing?

Hey George and Naj,
I priced those bolts from MB at $71.00 each, which seems way over priced.
The calipers will be re-built.
I have new seal kits, hardware, bleeder valves, pads, M/C, hoses, and I will buy new pistons with the money I just saved.
An aside....I am going to replace the shock absorbers and front subframe mounts at the same time.
My car has non MB springs on the back and I am not sure about the front springs however the back is higher than the front.
Here is a related question
Can I use the W108 subfame kit ($203.00) instead of the W113 kit($472.00)?
My understanding is that the 108 bushes are about 6mm taller than the 113 bushes
Any thoughts?
thanks

Hi Bob, not sure where you are getting the subframe kit but mine was a lot less than that (about 2 years ago). Right around $100 US from Ray P. (the 113 variety).

I have always cleaned them up, applied Loctite Blue, and re-used them, without problems.

Hello Bob,
Yes the W108 subrframe mounts are a bit higher but are identical otherwise.

Bob,
I don't know anything about using the 108 sub-frame mounts, but it does sound like an easy way to raise the front a bit as long as you're at it. Assuming they otherwise fit well, the question is whether 6 mm is enough. If it's not, you've still got a lot of work to do to raise it further, and if you have to do that work anyway, then I'd go with the 113 mounts. As James mentioned, I paid maybe $100, too, though I know prices in Australia are much higher.
When I got the rear of my car about right, the front was then very low, so I raised it about an inch by adding 1/2 inch spacers on top of the springs, a la Jim Villers. It still sits a bit low in the front, but levels out nicely with a full trunk, and I like it that way.
Good luck with all of it!

Hey James, Chuck, JoeA, George,
James, I quoted Australian Dollars for MB Australia rip-off prices.
George, I intend to do the swap out to new parts first then maybe add those spacers (a la Jim Villers) or thicker spring top spacers from MB.
Chuck, Thanks for the note about Locktite Blue. Has to be cheaper than new bolts and just as effective.
JoeA, thanks for the info, mate.
