Title: SOFT TOP well seal
Post by: hands_aus on July 22, 2003, 06:19:30
I had a look in the boot and wondered if there should be a body seal between the SOFT TOP well and the boot area.
There is a central, round hole at the bottom of the soft top well.
It looks like it should have a cover, something similar to the heater valve cover on the engine firewall.

Anybody have a cover there?

your input greatly appreciated.

Bob,

I have no cover in the round hole in the bottom of the top well. I will be curious to hear what others have to say on this one.

I've never had, nor seen a cover on the hole either... I assumed the hole is to let the soft-top 'breath' when it's tucked away now and then when the trunk get's opened .... minimize mildew, etc.

Hey Johnny B and Longtooth,

Thanks or the replies.

I wasn't sure because I don't have a soft top yet and it looks ready for a seal.

Have you noticed we three have 67 250SLs ?  Mine is RHD and in Oz. It is number 000114

Have you entered your car details in the Car Rregistery?
