Title: A/C Accumulator/Dryer
Post by: Raymond on June 24, 2006, 06:50:39
I need a replacement Dryer (or accumulator) for my Air Conditioner.  I found a web site about a year ago where I could buy one, but can't locate it now. The few local A/C shops I've called aren't interested in looking for parts for a 38 year old car.  I tried Old Air Products in Ft. Worth and the best solution seems to be send an old one to them for a rebuild.  Any other suggestions in the U.S.?

Try Jerry West at European Cooler Air,Inc (http://www.europeancoolerair.com/). He provided parts for the renewal of my FrigiKing/York system this year and also rebuilt the evaporator box. If you are replacing the dryer and don't already have high/low pressure cut offs in the system you could get this added to the new dryer - I think that Jerry calls it a binary switch and the purpose is to protect the compressor.

European Cooler Air are in Texas - email is jwest@europeancoolerair.com and telephone number is 972-771-3791.
