Title: 280SL with wire wheels
Post by: norton on June 22, 2006, 21:51:24
Don't know the seller, yada yada yada.  Some of the better looking wire wheels I've seen on a Pagoda. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-MERCEDES-280-SL-2-TOPS-FANTASTIC-CA-CAR_W0QQitemZ220000767906QQcategoryZ6338QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Really disapointed they didn't have a photo of the V8.

Gotta love eBay.

It's always "original," and even when it's not, it's an "upgrade."
And "completely rust free" until you poke around.
The "real tidy engine bay" just might be a Chebby V8.
Perhaps, the "original" MGB packaging for those painted wire wheels will come with it to carry the downgraded Benz wheels home in? Anyway, they do look fine with those bumper overriders.

--Just sick of eBay for no real reason; miss the days of the understated sale, of letting the car sell itself--
