Title: Sun Visor?
Post by: Cortez-Campos on May 23, 2006, 09:18:13
Hello

I have a problem with my sun visors, they are now beige because the old inteior was beige, but now I have changed it to red carpets and red MB-tex, but what about the sun visors?

I know they shuld be same color as the headliner, and as I guess it is always white, then all the sun visors in the world also are white, or..........?

I never use the hardtop, and my softtop is beige inside, so should I keep the sun visors beige, or should they be white as the headliner, or should they be red as the inteior????

I know what I would prefer, but what is original??

Original is matching the liner of the top.  I wonder if your hard top or soft top has been replaced?  I would assume they would have the same color inside, but that is just an assumption.

Also, through the years I belive different colors, shades of white or beige, were factory produced which generated different colors of sun visors.  Please use the Search tool (link in top right corner) and search for "original sun visor".

Naj,

Nice photo, but the upholstery-color-matching sun visors are not factory original, are they?  It looks like you have a color-matching shift lever boot as well, which looks great but I would assume is not factory original.  Cortez was asking about originality.

On my car, one of the ? PO's actually dyed (painted) the visors to match the dark blue MB text interior. Now, an unknown number of years later, some of that blue dye is flaking off in spots, showing the original beige color. I think I will re-dye them in blue though, since I do like the colors matching even though it is not original.
