Hi all . we have been having real rainy weather here in Montreal , so since I had nothing better to do I wanted to fix the last problem on my car . here we go.
the right and left parking light never worked <since i got the car>.
one or two click left and no parking lights work . removed the light swith from the bottom . got no power on the wire that is supose to power the parking light< the one going to the ignition switch terminal Pa >.right next to it at terminal 30 <red wires.i get power .when I use a jumper wire from terminal 30 to Pa the fuel pump starts working and now the parking light work when I turn the switch .what to do .it has to be missing a diode somewhere
thanks

update on the problem
disconected terminal Pa from the light switch then powered Pa wth a jumper and now the switch works in the 2 position , but with the key in any possition not only in possition 0 . the wire that was in Pa gets power only in possiton 1 on the key switch , so I guess the problem is in the ignition switch.???should the fuel pump work in possition 1?

PA-r and PA-l are fed from PA at the light switch, but the PA feed is from the ignition sw P when at O position.
So your test is to see if you have 12v at ignition sw P when in 0 position.. if not , the ign sw is suspect..
Te reason your fuel pump came on when you jumpered is b/c you were back-feeding the ignition sw to feed 30 , causing the fuel pump circuit to active.....no diode
