Title: slight exhaust sputter
Post by: Sam SL on May 11, 2006, 00:30:34
Can anyone tell me the possible cause of a slight exhaust sputter between 3000 and 4500 rpms when cruising steady under load?  The symtom is less noticable when the car is cruiser down a hill, more noticable when running up a grade.  The sputter goes unnoticable when I accelerate through the range.  My car runs well and sounds great other wise.

I've always wanted to stump Click and Clack with a Pagoda problem!  As I don't have any, I'll have to rely on you guys to call it in.  This looks like an interesting one for starters...

Be prepared for zero yield if you do:
I called Click and Clack regarding a "noise" with a 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce... they practically laughed me off the air. It was an amusing time.
