In the past week I've come face-to-face (on the road) with two other Pagodas... honked and waved, and got a look like I was NUTS! Gee, I get excited when I see another Pagodafile! What's with these people, don't they realize we're a special breed? (I was in my bright yellow Tweety Bird - not like I blended in!)

John,
Incredible. Clearly, these were stolen cars that were on their way to being either parted out in a "chop shop" or shipped to a foreign country. I am confident that the drivers were hardened criminals.

Maybe it was just the shock of seeing one of the world's few yellow Pogodas :D

I almost always get a nice gentle wave from any Pagodas I pass. Its not too exuberant -- just a casual "members only" wave. Now with 107s, it's about 50/50. I usually do but not them. If its an even newer SL, forget about it. They are so self-absorbed (and stinkin' wealthy) they don't even see me... (okay -- maybe not all...)

A very long time ago, 1968 there was a time when Mercedes-benz SL owners would flash the light and give the high sign when passing each other.
My wife and I were at a stop light and a beautifull new Masserati Qutropotte pulled up with a well manacured women at the wheel. We rolled down our passenger window and honked to show our appreciation and to ask how she liked the car? No response not even a glar to the side . Woo I would be elated if someone reconized what I was driving? I guess we frighten her. Should of been driving my 280SL.
