Title: Nice Anson Pix
Post by: Douglas on April 03, 2006, 13:23:09
Whoever put this site up did a nice job of photographing an Anson model. Looks almost real from some angles:

The only real problem with the Anson model is that the rear section of the car 'droops' too low in my view:

Could be springs. Maybe shocks.... :)

Perhaps the front end suspension is just riding too high.

Cees and List,

Yes, we discussed this before on this Forum, Anson botched the model when it comes to the rear part of the car. The model is some 4mm too long behind the rear doors, and the fenders droop incorrectly a couple of mm. The windscreen is also too rounded on the Anson. The earlier Techno Giodi 1:18 scale model is truer to the shape and design of the 1:1 W113 car.

IMHO, the Anson just does not look right as a model. Too bad, as many of the details are nicely made

I am with you Chad, also would like to see more undercar pics and looks like another one with aftermarket firewall pad. Still might fetch 26k on the bay.

I have both the Anson and theT echno Giodi models. The brightwork and finer details are better on the Anson but in addition to the points mentioned it is totally missing the little shoulders on the 1/4 panels that start just sfter the door aperture !

If I were buying anothet I'd get the Techno one, but I believe they are not made anymore !

The Techno Giodi models are no longer manufactured, but they come up all the time on German Ebay. Can be bought for no more than EUR 20. I think I have about 20 of them. They came in red, white, silver and blue. The red, white and blue are with soft top while the silver is with hard top.
