Title: Side Markers Position

Hello,
The side marker (Lights) holes where closed on my car, What are the correct position of the lights both back and front, does anyone have some measurments?

Of course, it's a matter of personal preference, but why bother to put them in and invite the dreaded tin worm? Besides, M. Bracque didn't design it that way. Is your SL a US model?

Mal:  When I repaint GIGI I am removing the side marker lights anf going to sell them on ebay. It looks much nice without them - nice clean lines with no ugly orange and red bumps!

Mal:

I got rid of mine (along with the US headlights and bumper guards) when we did the restoration. Looks so much better IMO without them.

Thanks for the advice I accept the argument that the car was not designed that way, but I have a Euro 280SL and this my second project and it is American Specs.
