Another wiring question. I'm slowly putting my 230sl back together after a total rebuild (excluding the autobox), but would be grateful for some guidance on the wiring to the transmission terminal block. Two terminals are straight forward as the connectors are sized, but I am left with two wires for the final terminal one coloured brown the other green. Which one goes to the terminal and which goes to the oil pressure switch? On my first road test the gear change is very jerky on the upshift, but before looking into this further, I better check the wiring is right. I think I wired the green wire to the terminal block.
Many thanks

There's a good transmission wiring diagram at Sun Valley's site:

Rocket, the beauty of Mb is that they always used solid red for the + voltage (hot) and the solid brown for the ground - chassis. All the other colors depending on their origin and destination can vary in colors with solids to stripes.

Thanks for the info, very useful. I had wired the block incorrectly, but the autobox now works and changes very smoothly. The double acting solenoid wasn't working properly either, I only had power at one terminal. Thanks to the advice from this site (ja17), this was easily rectified.
