Can someone email me a color wiring diagram for a RHD 230SL. Thanks.
Also which terminals on the blinker flasher unit are for what color wire?
Thanks in advance

The color diagrams (never prepared by Daimler-Chrysler) made by Achim Ahlert will be in the next issue of Pagoda World, which is going to the printer's this week.

Thanks guys, however the numbers on my flasher unit are 31, 49 and 49a. It is difficult to see which terminal is which even with the unit opened up.

Relay with 49/49a is a repalcement relay. VW uses those terminal #s.
Original Benz flaser has Terminals 31, 54, and 15. [ bullet connectors]
So, your relay will still use 31 for ground, which will be a brown wire.
On the other two , the one closest to #31 will will use color code Blk with gn/w tracer [54 of original flasher]
The one further away from 31 will use Blk with gn/red tracer [ 15 of original flasher]
Those will be your 49/49a terminal positions.
This is assuming you have the original connector/harness...

Thanks for the info which is of course correct, however before I read your post I'd found out by trial and error and three blown fuses later it was working. Only Right turn flashes slower than left, but I kind of like that.

Very Good..
If one side flashes faster, then the resistance ia not in balance from side to side.
Check the lamps and see if they are the same make/wattage...
