Seeing as we seem to have many people ask/state where they live in various threads, I have set up a Frappr Map - a visual of where we all are.

Might be a bit of fun

Naj,
Hugo was born last Tuesday (31st)
He and the wife are fine. He has all his faculties (well, as many as can be expected in a newborn) so we are very lucky!
-
Cool! 8) I added a photo of me, as I don't have a good one of the car yet. I do enjoy people photos too...it would be interesting to see what you all look like [:0].

Nice to see a photo of Montauk. I spend a lot of time there (underneath a Pagoda) each summer.
-
I love New York! I grew up in Sands Point and still visit mom there frequently. My brother has a cottage in Montauk so that was taken last July (pre Pagoda days!).

Great idea Tosh! Congratulations with Hugo, hope you catch enough sleep.
Never heard of this Frappr thing, but my photo is there now. I hope many will add theirs ...

Nice Idea!! This will put members in touch with each other.
Just another great aspect to this fine website.
Now if I could only shrink the size of my .jpg's for posting on our site!!

I've never heard or seen this thing before !
Can it be made a permanent fixture on the site somehow ?

I have to say, I think it is kinda cool. I came across it yesterday and this place was the first thing that sprung to mind. Clearly relatively new, as it's a beta version we appear to be working with. But it's great to see names/cars/faces and locations all in the one place. Lord alone knows what spam will result... :(
You're right, seeing as we have gone from nothing to 33 folk signed up in the space of about 18 hours, it would be nice if the group could be formally linked this to this site in some way - perhaps as new members sign up/renew their memberships.
I have asked a few of the UK MBOC members to sign up, you may want to do the same (and you Naj!)
-
I'm there Tosh,

It would be a result if all the 497 UK Club Pagoda owners signed up [:p]
Nix, I hope you're reading this. :)

I know you signed up Naj, you are covering my pink-pin (oooh er!)
I assume you are in contact with all 497 UK Club Pagoda members, and so I'll let you email all of them! ;)
(I did a few....Heald, Powell, Jobling...)

This is terrific... I just bought my 1st Pagoda and am anxiouc to get her photo up - I saw her for the 1st time yesteday - WOW!! I hope this site will be perminent and all will use it.
LOVE IT!

Random thought: When you get down to the street level, you can actually show potential car theives where your garage is. I used a zip code in my town where I don't keep the car.

this should be a permanent thing linked to the website.

Tried and failed. Can you provide an idiot's guide to how to add details to the map? Do I have to log in once to the forum and then again to the map thingy? Given that I need tech helpdesk assistance to send a text message, I may be a lost cause.
Regards
Andrew

Can I just say...
what a great bunch of pictures. :D
I check every day and the pictures always bring a smile to my face. Keep 'em coming 8)
(I have asked one of the German SL-Club Pagode officials to join. So I hope we will get some German members signed up soon!)

OK. I do enjoy the Frappr -- but the scrolling picture thing kind of annoys me. Anyone know how to get it back to just photos???

Frappr worked fine in the begining but now it doesn't. For some reason it keeps reloading and seems to have a mind of its own. Anyone else having any problems?

No issues here but it may be due to the scroll of the pictures - that's a new "feature"...
Send me an email with your details/issue/any messages etc and I'll forward to frappr
-
Also no problems on my side, but maybe because this is a beta version there could be some issues here and there?

On our Frapper home page, why does it say "Showing 50 of 70 members"? Is it possible for people to join yet not be put on the map? I thought that was the whole point??

Nice one Ed. Personally, I am waiting for the owner from Chino, California to join... Could use a Frappr-chino... [:0]
Rodd, I think if you scroll to bottom of the 50 members, it will allow you to see the next 20.
My Frappr seems to function fine -- I just find the scrolling a pain.

Oh, OK. My screen wasn't sized right to see that it was referring to a list of members below. I couldn't see past the first name.

Hi.
I wanted to bring this thread up to the top again. This is a great tool and I recommend that people register on the Frapper map system. We only have about 115 people on it out of 1,574 registered Forum members.
Thanks,

This is a fun and informative tool. Maybe I'll be able to match a few names to the Pagodas I see out and about in So. Cal. Thanks to Trice (France) for the recommendation and to Tosh for setting it up.

For newer members who haven't seen this, it's a very neat thing that Tosh set up here. Take a couple of minutes to add yourself to the map.
Personally, I think it's cool to see that a car unites so many people from all over the world!
-
Again for the members who recently joined our group take a look at Frapper and add your self and your car to on the group's world map.

90% complete is not complete... hence it won't show up. Have you tried reducing the file size? Otherwise I'm afraid you need to look it up on the Frappr site...

Some people have a problem with their web browser settings, or just their web browser in general (fire fox or other Linux or Mac browsers).
