Title: Frigiking receiver / drier source?
Post by: BHap on June 21, 2003, 14:02:40
I am looking for a receiver drier for a 70 280SL with the Frigiking a/c unit.  This is the "T" shaped bottle with top sight glass on the passenger side firewall..  can someone point me in the right direction?  thanks...

Try Classic Auto Air of Tampa FL, they have parts for many older units...813 251-2356

Douglas - can you share some details with me?  Who was the source of your drier? (name / e-mail?) Is there a brand name and/or a part number on it?  Any help is appreciated....

I second Richard M's recommendation of Classic Auto Air in Tampa. They were recommended to me by a very experienced "old car" guy & rebuilt a Fridgidare (GM) compressor for my '72 280SE 4.5 last summer. Still works fine. I think they can help with just about any AC problem you might have. AC for all these cars were made in the states during those years & I understand usually installed @ POE after arriving here from Germany.    -JP-
