Title: Paint code help!!

Time to update the old 113 w/ new paint. I'm changing color, and would love to have
that great metallic light blue that was around in '71 and '72 or so. Anyone know the code
for this? One person described it as sky blue but metallic. To me, it's like looking at the
sea w/ sunlight on it. It's a truly beautiful color, and when I've seen it on other cars, they
had white interiors.
Best I can do for research around here is..
396  med. met. blue
906  gray blue met.
Am I close???

For 1972, the paint chart I have shows DB304 Horizon Blue sort of a grayish blue, appears to be not metallic;, DB 387, blue poly which shows to be a darker blue than the 396, there is also a DB350 which is darker still and not metallic. Those numbers, in the paint books I have show as being available for the years you mention. Did you take a look at www.paintscratch.com. There is a pretty good selection of sample colors there, caveat of course, on the computer screen. Even from the paint chips, these are difficult to imagine on the full size car. The chips do show to be on the darker side.

Daryl,
grey blue metallic 906
with parchment seats (MB Tex 144 - 147, Leather 254 - 257 depending on carpet color)
is a nice combination. I should know it - its what I have.

Ifits the color you mean it is 906 Gray-Blue, but with navy blue interior

I'd also say its 906.   That's mine.   Sky blue metallic.   Looks great w/ Parchment interior w/ Navy carpet.
