Does anyone on this site have an authoritative number for 71 280 sl with ZF box?

I doubt it, buy you can assume they are VERY rare as most factory 5-speed Pagodas that I've heard of were from 1966 - 1969.

According to Michael Egan's article in the Mercedes Collector, there were a total of 885 W113s delivered with ZF 5-speed transmissions. There were also an additional 283 300SE cars delivered with the ZF 5-speed.
