Hello Pagode-fans!
I'm René from Amsterdam, Holland, and since April this year the proud owner of a beautiful 250 SL.
When I'm not driving the car, it is kept in a garage, and covered with some blankets. :oops:
I think my car deserves better! [:p]
I'm looking for a nice car-cover, especially for the Pagode-model.
If you know a good adress, please let me know!

Being in the Netherlands you might want to contact Classic Additions LTD. They are located in the UK.
They also have a very nice wind deflector for you new "child" 250SL.

I use one of these form-fit covers for both my Pagoda and 911. They are easy to take on and off, light and easy to store, fit nicely to the body of the car but can be used indoors only. A very nice product in my opinion.

Welcome as a new Dutch forum user. I'm living in Oegstgeest. I bought my car with a cover of the brand Auto-Pyama with a MB emblem. See http://www.permabag.com/autopyjama It works fine, but a bit heavy like their statement in the start of their site.

Welcome Rene, there are now almost 40 registered members here who live in the Dutch part of Europe! As we emailed off-line, I will be working to get some kind of 'light' meeting together in the coming month or so, before (some of) our cars go into hybernation for the winter again.
I bought a car cover from Halfords when I had the car stored in a public garage for a while. It worked quite allright. I have not been using it for years though; I just park the car in the garage and, every once in a while, wash it!

Hello Ed. A short while ago I started to order one the CoverCraft "Form-Fit" covers for my Pagoda, but confusion arose during the process so I decided to hold and seek input before proceeding.
Since you've already gone through this, and are satisfied with the product and its fit, I have a question about cover size.
Background: As I was going thru the on-line selection process (e.g., 1971...Mercedes-Benz...280SL...convertible/coupe/size G3...etc), and even though they clearly state that the cover stretches, I began to wonder if the recommended cover (G3) is sized with a W113 specifically in mind. In order to test this out I then went through the cover selection process again, but this time for a 280SE. What I learned was that the online selector choses the same size ("G3") for both the 280SL and a 4-door 280SE. So then, perhaps to confuse myself even further, I decided to go through the selection process once more; except this time I did it for a 1970 Porsche 911. (I also owned a 911S, but that was many moons ago). For the 911 the online selector came up with a size "G2", which I assume to be smaller than the G3.
Before I place an order I was wondering if you could comment on the G3 size for the 280SL. It's probably fine, but as you can tell, I'm concerned that it might be a bit large, especially since the G3 is also the recommended size for a 4-door 280SE ... and whereas a G2 size is automatically selected for a 911.
Sorry for all this confusing input, but your input would be appreciated, assuming my ramblings here make any sense to you.

I questioned the same thing when I purchased mine and spoke with the CoverCraft people at that time. They assured me that each was made specific to the vehicle you specify. The cover I received for my 280SL fits quite well and certainly seems 'cut' for that particular car. I will add this, however. I bought a red cover from them a couple of years ago for my Porsche and it really fits nicely, I think primarily due to the body shape of a 911 vs. a Pagoda but for some reason the red fabric of the one I bought for the 911 seems a little nicer than the black fabric of the one I got for the Benz.
So what I am saying is, if you buy one, consider getting it in red as I think the actual material is a little nicer than the black material. These covers do fit the cars quite well and I particularly like the stretchy characteristic of the fabric.
