In August, Jonny B and I attended the Scandinavian Pagoda Event. It is a gathering where Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian Pagoda enthusiasts get together for a weekend. This year it was held in Skövde, Sweden.
Some of them are also members of the Pagoda SL Group, like Hans and Thomas, which is how we got in touch. They kindly accepted our request to participate, and we had a wonderful time. Most people were new to us. But I always find it remarkable how quickly you can connect with people who share the same interests.
The weather forecast was pretty bad. But in the end, we were lucky and got some sunshine.
We stayed in a gorgeous hotel in a beautiful location in the Swedish countryside. By coincidence the Scandinavian Morgan group had come up with the same plan.
We went on excursions to beautiful places. But just driving on the Swedish country roads is an event in itself. Just like the road trip from the Netherlands to Sweden and back.

Martijn,
Just saw the photos — absolutely wonderful! I’m really impressed by how great everything looked: the cars, the scenery, the people, the atmosphere. It must have been such a fantastic event, and you can feel the good vibes through the pictures.
Thanks for sharing — it definitely makes me want to join next time!

20? Cars. That’s a good number. Who came furthest (Jon aside)?

Thank you for the pictures, really captured the event.
I also appreciated seeing the different/varied color choices for Pagodas across the Pond vs US selections.
Of course I liked the one licensed AP 28.463 which appears to be DB571. (I'm partial) There are so many reds. Is there a way to verify that car's color or maybe its owner that I can contact?
Also interesting that it appears wind screens also seem to be popular.

Thanks for sharing Martijn Nice to see Pagodas gathering around the world.

James, I'm not sure who came furthest. Jon and I were the only participants from outside Scandinavia. So I think we have a good chance. On the other hand, Sweden and Norway are large countries. It's possible that some people came from the far north.

John, sorry, I don't have contact information of the owner of the red car.
You're right about the wind deflectors. Many European Pagoda owners use them. So do I. It makes a difference, especially when the temperature is a bit lower. It's more comfortable when there's less turbulence in the interior.

Quite an event with a great variety of very nice cars, including the nearby Morgans. Thanks for posting another great set of pictures.
I think Hans’ beige and blue 280SL takes the prize for the most unusual color combination!
