Title: which hose would fit ?
Post by: Figoulu on August 06, 2025, 15:07:50
Hi gents

I have a question...
when getting back my engine, my pro has upgraded the air heating system around the throttle body by adding air / heat / ducts / intercooler and bypasses.
As a consequence the radiator hose that goes from the water pump to the bottom of the radiator, slightly bumps on the edge of the alternator pulley, and is definitely much more tighter than ever before. I wonder now if it's due to this modification or not.

Digging into it, I saw that this hose differs between early and late 230 (I presume before and after this upgrade) and of course from 250 and 280.

Anybody to help me in doing the good choice / order if it's necessary to change ?
Thanks a lot  ;D

I would have thought that the hose from the thermostat goes to the top of radiator and hose from the water pump goes to bottom of the radiator.

You are showing the hose from water pump to bottom of the radiator.

A 113 501 06 82 goes to cars with chassis number as of 042 005981. It is available at Mercedes, ca EUR 65.

The other one on the picture, up to 042 005980. Also available at Mercedes, similar price.

Thanks. You’re right to have corrected me, it’s been confusing. I updated my post in this way
Thanks for your advices, I ordered the 582 ref, so for late 230, we’ll see
