I was working in my car and when removing my orignal that I had converted to quartz and very happy with it, I accidentally dropped it and fell apart. I sent it to the company that did the conversion to put it together but they are asking way too much to the job.

Have you checked all of our suppliers of instrumentation repair? Probably one of them is the one that did the initial rebuild, but there are others and they are worth a call. You might get your repaired for a little less than the other.
