Title: The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive
Post by: RAY on July 06, 2025, 13:40:36
Hope this is the right place to post this, as it is general discussion but not specifically about Pagodas.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is a worldwide charity event in aid of prostate cancer and mens mental health which takes place on the 28 September.

It's an event that I have wanted to take part in for the last three years but for various reasons have not been able to, last year we were in Luxenbourg on the rally, but this year it is going to happen but is also bitter sweet because at the beginning of this year I received the results from a regular blood test, followed by many other procedures which confirmed the worst.

It is a great, fun, driving event mixing with like minded classic car owners and all in a good cause, either as individuals or as teams. Can I urg you all to look it up and hopefully find the time to take part, get some sponsors and have a great day.

Ray

Ray! Don't worry too much! A lot of us are in the same boat and most of the times it is not as bad as it first seems. I am due for a biopsy too but decided to postpone it for 60 days until we return from a trip to Europe. A doctor friend of mine told me years ago: "a lot of men die with prostate cancer but not because of it".
I have been participating in the motorcycle "DGR" several times. Didn't even know, they had a car event.

A friend of mine at work just had the surgery less than 60 days ago and is back to work.  He said he is doing well.  He is not having any serious problems and is glad to be cancer free.
