Does anyone know where I can buy a new or rebuilt Warm Running Device?

Did you see the thermostat for sale?

Or, do you just need the thermostat housing?

Hi Rodd,

Thanks for the reply.  I did not see that.  Unfortunately, it appears that these have all been sold.

Kent, what is wrong with your WRD?
Since you have a 1970 280sl, that thermostat in Rodd's post is not for your car.

Usually issues can be resolved with:
New thermostat
New air filter
Shims under the WRD

You can search "warm running device" to find lots of threads about troubleshooting

Autohausaz has the best price for the thermostat.

Authentic classics has additional parts

Thanks for the info, Lori.  Very helpful.

Problem is with cold and warm (not hot) starting.

Kent,

How much have you studied?  Scroll down on this page to Components -> Engine Starting Aids

Also to Smaller Components -> Warm Running Device
