Title: WTB: Hardtop in Europe
Post by: EeVeeWee on June 25, 2025, 07:56:35
Hello,
Does anyone know a pagoda roof (hardtop) for sale in Europe for a 1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL?
I am looking for the color blue 332 G.
Thanx, Eric

I’m not sure if it’s the blue one, but check out this listing. As you know, Gelsenkirchen is basically right next to your Home :-)

Gern geschehen! You're very welcome!
Actually, on that platform I shared with you, you're most likely to find the hardtop the fastest in Germany.

I have already contacted several people, but usually there is something wrong with the item, the price is very high, or the colour is not right.

Maybe it would be a good idea to post your own ad there, saying you're actively looking for a hardtop – someone might contact you directly.

And honestly, it might be worth considering some kind of compromise – that colour was really quite rare, so repainting or restoring depends on the purchase price might be a solution?

Also, keep in mind that there's an additional challenge: transportation. A hardtop is large and awkward to handle, so you’ll most likely have to pick it up in person anyway.

As your car has the 121 Cream interior, if you come across a suitable hardtop in Light Beige 181, you might consider it.  Of course, you may want to have a set of hubcaps painted to match.
