Title: source for carpet? Salt/pepper
Post by: hemibeep on June 16, 2025, 22:39:30
Hello all,
I was told my carpet color is salt/pepper.

Car is Tunis Beige, black top and seats.

1970.

What is a source for the correct two tone carpet?

I only see other colors or solid colors.

thank you.

I don’t believe you’ll find an exactly match of the salt/pepper multi loop carpet.  I don’t think it is currently made. There is a slightly two toned charcoal but it’s not salt and pepper.

Also, I would strongly advise you to order a cutting of the exact dye lots that will be fabricated.  The photos online are often older dye lots and differ (sometimes significantly) from what is currently available.

When restoring an older car few interior components will be spot on matches.  Get as close as possible knowing full well it will not be 100% as it was back in 1970!

Hello all,
I was told ...
Have you researched it yourself?  Before looking for something specific, I suggest using your data card and the resources in the Tech Manual to confirm your carpet style.
