Title: 230SL soft top chrome handles

Out of interest.....  My 1965/6 built UK 230 has the two chrome handles to secure the soft top.  I notice some talk about "storing them"  Mine dont come off and are permanent fitting as far as I can see.  When did they become "detachable"?? Or are they supposed to come off when the top is stowed.?

Paul, no the one piece handles are not meant to come off. They were changed to the two piece handles late in the 250 SL run. It was made at VIN ending 5089.
