Hiya
I’m trying to source a retaining screw (has a knurled Bakelite knob in the end) for the main fuse box under the bonnet.
I made a ‘school boy error’ in taking the fuse box cover to look at the fuses, resting it on top of manifold.
Whilst the fuse box cover and one screw remained in place, unfortunately the other fell out somewhere along a 35mile stretch of road!?!! 😱
I can only find the whole fuse box cover, with retaining screws, but none sold individually?
With thanks in advance

There are some available on eBay.

Hi,
Sometimes it is easier and cheaper to find/buy the complete spare part than a single part (A0005451003; same for many models) or someone still has one lying around here or you look in a scrap yard. Cars of this time had similar ones.
These screws should be fixed with a fiber washer so that they cannot be removed from the cover.

Yes, this one didn’t have the little rubber washer. Obviously works as the retaining screw with the washer still remained with the cover! 😎
Looked on eBay but none of same design, looked a lot bulkier 😔
Was hoping one of our esteemed pagoda colleagues may have a spare one lurking, but why they would I would have no idea 😱
