I finally was able to get through pay pal and joined as full member, how long does it take for it to take affect?

Since no one more knowledgeable about the mechanics of membership has responded yet  -- I will just give you my experience.

As soon as I pay for full-membership or renewal, it has been activated immediately.

Hi, Brian,

i'm not sure I'm much more knowledgeable than Kampala, but I may be (part of)  the probem.

I have recently taken over as group treasurer, but don't yet fully understand the details of the membership process.

I see that you paid $30 for full membership using PayPal on Monday, and it may be that I was supposed to do something with that information.  I will look into what needs to happen next.  (Unfortunately, I am currently in Egypt, and don't have constant connectivity, so turnaround may be slower than normal.)

The payment of $30 on PayPal should have given access immediately.  If not there is either a PayPal problem within your account and the payment for some reason did not occur or the Treasurer will need to look at the PayPal linking.

I took a look at your profile.  We did get your payment and it shows in your profile last payment on 5-19-2025 but the expiration date didn't update to 5-19-2026.  I changed so please check if it is working now.

It is supposed to be all automatic with no human intervention! Trust me it normally works!

No PayPal payment has been recorded by the system.

It looks like you paid via PayPal but by bypassing our system so that your payment details did not get recorded automatically. I've added your payment to the system
