I cleaned out my long fuel pump which was full of varnish from sitting in a garage with evaporated gasoline for 30 years, and decided to take the top cover off of the Bosch motor. When I took the two nuts off the two long shafts, and then took the moor cover off, I found two small springs about 5mm long dropped out. I don't have any idea where these two springs were located. Anyone have any idea?

There's an exploded view in the tech manual, but if you don't have access to that have a look at the picture on here, the springs fit on the long studs, under the quad ring, number 2

I had looked at the diagram before, but didn't realize that the springs were under the quad ring on the long studs. You have an eagle's eye. Thank you sir!
