Title: Injection pump check valves?
Post by: twistedtree on March 01, 2025, 20:09:10
I am working on an R22Y injection pump that isn't pumping.  The car has been sitting for a long time, and I expect things are just gummed up inside.  I checked the rack and it moved freely, which I think means the pistons are free?

Anyway, I pulled off the 19mm pipe adapters expecting to find a plunger and spring for the check valve, and instead I find something similar to this picture.  Thankfully mine are not rusted up like in the picture.

Does this mean parts are missing?  That seems so unlikely, but you never know.   Or do I need to pull these devices and the plunger and check valve parts are inside?
