Title: some scapler on eBay_Pagoda Style
Post by: lurtch on November 10, 2024, 03:23:07
Hello All,

Just an FYI for all of us. A copy of the well received Pagoda Style book - (insert applause and adulation for Michael Salemi) - is available on eBay.

The asking price will roll your eyes back into your head!

Thank you for the applause…

I think some copies have sold for more than that over the past few years… In fact, I recall one close to $1000.

One of the detail shots features the text and photo spread for Lucy's and my Havana Brown 230SL.

Made me go out to the shed and retrieve my dusty PB signed book to put in a safe place to keep.

I have two copies, one still in its wrapper. Sort of a hedge against the spare parts price increases.

In a deal not likely to be repeated, EACH contributor crowd-sourced funded the book by advancing USD $90.00. They waited and eventually all received TWO copies of the book (one for the library and one for the boot/trunk and to take along)...along with a $120 refund...thus doing the math, each book cost each contributor a negative amount.

If a second edition is considered, I'd forward the funds for a few copies to help reach the minimum. It's a shame to see your book so rarefied and with such silly pricing from the scalpers.
