This wiper arm and blade holder came with my 1969 to 280SL is it Original?
I have been reading old posts but no one seems to be sure of whats right
-
I found these and wasn’t sure if they are correct
-
Have a read of this article

I went through these notes but if you look at the Bosch wiped picture i posted it say 230 / 250 / 280 SL
But the length is 26 cm (10.2 inch)
-
The blades should be 305mm on all W113's, so the ones you've pictured are not correct
-
Are the wiper arms i posted correct?
And does anyone have pair a semi satin 12 inch wiper blade for sale?
-
In my experience, as Bob said, all W113s were shipped with 12-inch/305 mm blades. However, also in my personal experience, the 13-inch/330 mm ones (originally used on W111s and W112s) work fine (maybe better than stock, as they clear a little more of the windshield). The problem I have is finding replacement rubber for the 330mm ones (in the correct width for my bright metal blade holders).

I bought (ages ago and can’t remember where from) the blade rubber in ~70cm lengths that can be cut to fit. Just re-use the metal parts

Your wipers are Bosch, and are the correct length, so no reason to think they're not original? I can't compare them with mine as my car is a 230, perhaps someone with the same year car as yours can confirm
Why not just try and get the rubber, have a look on here for the profile, should be easy enough to source

This has been a common issue. I posted my solution on a similar thread not too long ago. This was my solution:
4 Pack Windshield Wiper Blades... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZBZ3KHK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Worked perfectly on my 280SL. If not the correct size, maybe there are different sizes available. Perhaps cannibalizing the correct size off of incorrect complete blades is necessary but should not be a costly or difficult task.

Hi, Michael,
I was so excited by earlier posts that suggested buying "bulk" refills that I ordered some refills without checking first.
Unfortunately, my holders are 10mm wide, not 6. :-[
(Perhaps because they're the earlier "bright" ones, not the later matte ones?)

I bet you can find ones like this, perhaps as fully assembled, and then just take them apart and use the rubbers. Whether you find bulk rubber, cheap or fully assembled blades, perhaps a bit costlier, they are still a fraction of what they would cost if you were buying them from Mercedes-Benz… If you could buy them from Mercedes-Benz! I say keep looking! You may consider taking one of the arms or blades into a good auto parts store and scour what they have available.

I, having a '65 had "chromed" wipers and had a dickens of a time finding the rubber to replace, without spending a fortune for an entire unit, which lead me to this thought
Would there be an opportunity to "bulk buy" items for members of common parts or would that be too involved. Any thoughts by anyone

I'd be interested. Would be super if the club did such things more often.

All it takes is someone with initiative.
In a sense, our creation and distribution of our group’s logo as window sticker, then the grille badge, then the embroidered patches are a “group buy”. Only the grille badge was sold for somewhat less than our survey indicated; patches and window stickers are given out as part of full membership.
Along the same lines the Pagoda World books fall into the same category.
Two years ago we arranged a special discount on a group buy for Blockley tires. They sold out.
So a small number of board members do these things.
Somebody needs to find the parts first. I found them for the later style, posted the Amazon link, but at $8 delivered for a set to do two cars, hardly worth a group buy.

(bulk buy etc)
I have a problem with the phrase "we should" so I brought it up - so
let's get some input.
Let's gauge interest and get what would be some indications/ideas/suggestions of potential "bulk buy" items or maybe quantity discounts. I'll bring it to the Board for agreement, and approval.
There are some, like George at AuthenticClassics who already help us out. Maybe there are others?

Those are suitable for a 190SL.
