A 230SL from 1968?

Seems like quite the odd error.

Also why would you go with MB-Tex in a $450K build (NOT including the donor car)??

Still a beautiful car (aren't they all though) and a drop dead gorgeous color.

Seems very nicely done; I'd love to know how they've produced those speedo and tacho dials.
The choice of a 230 as the base car is a little strange; here in the UK the 230 can be bought a little cheaper than 250 or 280 but at this level I would have imagined that the entry price would be immaterial.
Also strange that they didn't fit electric PAS.
I'd also be interested to know what the weight difference is.

When money is unlimited, yes, I would add power steering. Definitely not a 1968 230SL.

Superb finish and I am sure would drive like a dream, minus the legendary exhaust note in a manual Pagoda, particularly accelerating from second to third!
