Dear All.
With the help of all the knowledge that has been shared on this forum regards to engine removal for cosmetically purposes, painting to of the engine bay and refurbishing the subframe etc.
I am now in the process of removing my engine from the bottom with nearly all ancillaries removed but I have one concern. As I have a scissor lift which raises the car about 1.1 meter into the air and my plan is to lift the body of the car from the subframe leaving all to the ground when all is disconnected is there a possibility that I could unbalance the car for it to tilt backwards as it will still have the rear subframes attached to the back.
The lift that I have is below.

Is the weight resting on the tires? It kind of looks like it is in the picture. That lift doesn't look like there will be enough room to get it out of the way since the subframe will go with it.

When raised the weight is rested on rubber blocks where the jacking points are. The weight will be resting on the tyres when on ground and I will release the bolts of the subframe and lift the body up. The clearance is plenty
when the body is raised of the subframes to roll the engine out or I can remove the wheels and rest the frame on a trolley and roll it out for more clearance.

I think you will be fine but, to make sure, why not strap a heavy-duty ratchet strap around the front of the body, attaching it to the bottom of that top plate of the scissor jack.

I will certainly do that for extra safety. Which should secure this concern.

I will be removing the whole tank at some stage so may as well do it now.
