I have had to take a few weeks off from the car but ready to finish off a few things. I put the new soft top on and have let it just sit all buttoned up so am sure that is good for the top. But my question is what do these wires do? I know they pop into the holes buy mine keep popping out and it was pushing against the new top when inserted so I just pulled them out until I figure what they are need for and possible what is the exact shape I need to bend them into...
thanks

Each wire should have a small loop in each end. This attaches to the front outside edge of the front bow, feeds through the edge of the soft top then attaches to the bow at the rear. Its used to tension the side of the soft top - to keep it snug against the horizontal folding side frame of the hood frame (that the glass pushes into when wound up) and stops the top flapping at speed. DON`T THROW THEM OUT!! :)

you have to feed them through the soft top and then attach as described

ok looks like it should probably by like the drivers side in my pictures. probably need to just shove the passenger in farther. But they do pop out? I cannot see how they attach to the frame now with the top on. Is there a screw there that I can tighten to make them not slip out? I might just put some duct tape over them for now to see I they will stay in. Because as you can see when they pop out the scratch up the new top...

They are meant to stop the fabric getting caught in the locks that hold the last bow up when you fold it.
The locks will eventually rip the fabric.
You can just see mine in the last pic I posted.
I’ll try and take some better pics if you need later today

I believe your wires are bent to much upward, they should be more straight. The straight end can be pushed in and hides under the frame.

cool thanks everyone.
I will try and bend them a little lower and get them far into the holes in the Frame then maybe tape them down to hold them in place for a little while.
