Quoting our good friend Richard Madison ..."if you build it... they will come."

Joe, if this event keeps growing each year you may have to get a bigger bakyard. :D

What beautiful photos! I think it's just fantastic that so many of these beautiful cars are brought together by the members of this forum.  I am definitely coming next year. Could just kick myself for not being able to this year!

Bob, there were only a few cars with the hardtop, and there were no California coupes.

Let me send my thanks to you for sending the raffle prizes!

This was an absolutely fabulous event!!!

Many thanks to Joe and Mary, Rodd and Kim, and Cees, and all the rest for making this a superlative weekend! The weather in Ohio more than cooperated, and a great time was had by all.

I made the drive back to the Cleveland area with no problem. The car is sounding a bit loud, and I had it on the lift when I got home, fortunately, I could see no cracks in the manifold, but the bolts holding the pipe to the manifold are loose. That is a task for later this week. The traffic was not bad, and it was an easy drive.

Hope the rest of the sessions in the late afternoon went well.

Again, many thanks to Joe, Mary, Rodd, Kim, Cees, Jim V, Pete L, and on and on...

I can hardly wait to see the video that Dick M will have!!

Hello All,

What a tremendous weekend for all of us.  "Mille Grazie" to Mary and Joe for hosting, to Rodd & Kim for a great party, and to all who drove from near and far.  It's astounding that a piece of mechanical "art" last made over 30 years ago in a little town in Germany has fostered such camaradarie so that we meet, in of all places, the hamlet of Blacklick Ohio!

It was a pleasure to see all of you; reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

Hey everyone, made it back fine, got in 6:00 AM this morning and, after a cat nap, went off to work. Spent the evening at the garage, reset the ignition, did some other stuff and went for a nice long drive; too much inspiration not to. I had a very, very, very nice time, learned more about our cars, enjoyed the driving and especially enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Oh, and thanks to Don, Michael, Tom and Aashish for letting me drive their cars.

Ernie, Bruce & Ron: I just updated your membership records. Ron now holds the record and is a full member paid up through October 2007 (he paid 3 years in advance; we will follow up on creating that possibility for others too, that way we don't all have to think about renewing so often and it helps cash flow for the Group of course).

Jim, Mark and Larry: your posters will be in the mail end of this week. Thanks for the interest (we ended up selling more than the 10 or so posters that we had on hand at the event)!

Can't want to see the video footage Dick! Perhaps Peter van Es can host that again on his own website: http://bali.esweb.nl/index.php

Everyone else who took photos, please post them (I forgot to bring my camera :-()

Oh and Mike, I really enjoyed directing the old Gravely to cut the grass all around once again. And since none of us got any snakebites dragging old cars around, I suppose that part of the experience went off fine as well  :)

Hello,

Thanks everyone, the people made it great! I believe we ended up with about 27 or 28 Pagodas in all. Some left Saturday and others arrived Sunday only.

Our visitors from the Dominican Republic and a few others stayed until 10:30 pm Sunday Night. David Pease, the first Pagoda to drive in last Saturday, left my shop at 10:30 Monday morning for his return trip to California. We did an inspection and oil service before the trip back.

We were very busy for over two days and did not get to all of the subjects. I will do the wheel bearing change job and the alternator tear down on this site with pictures so we can all follow the procedures.
Here are some more pictures!

Many thanks to Joe & Mary, Rodd & Kim, Jim & Peter for their warm hospitality and generous sharing of their knowledge. It was special for me to be in the company of owners who gave freely their experiences and knowledge of these beautiful and complex automobiles.

How about that fuel injector demo Joe put on outside? It dosn't get any better than that. I came away a somewhat overwelmed, but a little less clueless.
