Post by: menesesjesse on June 29, 2024, 19:44:31
I want to say thank you Mike Salemi for the horn parts.  I was able to get my horn completed and operational.  This group is the best.

It was my pleasure to have been able to assist you. Many years ago, another member here gave me an old set of horns, but didn’t really work. I used the cases, and installed a set of sealed Bosch horns within them. I had the cases powder coated, and new tags put on and they are so beautiful, i’ve never wanted to put them underneath the car.! Maybe one of these days…

… So those horn parts were sitting in a bag doing no good and now they have been able to help you and everybody’s happy! 👍👍👍

Exactly. They look great. Too great to go living underneath a car, inches from a pavement! (haha...)

SEM Trim paint satin.  It really lays down well.  Also it you are using Duplicolor heat paint ford semi gloss black is very good.

Is anybody adventurous, in full or in part, like menesesjesse?

I have a single original (not repro) OEM horn tag, HO/FSA 12/4.

Free to a good home that needs it (not wants it for resale etc.)

Send me a PM.

I was so inspired by your horn refurb that I decided to do mine. They came out very nice cosmetically but now sound like a sick cow. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

1. It's just the tag.
2. He asked for a PM.
