Hi Dave,

I had to replace my 280 cylinder head recently and did not realise until then that their is an earlier type and a late type, both completely different.

Mine was an earlier type which was more difficult to track down, could have had a choice of a few of the later type, ended up getting one via eBay from Germany.

I have both early and late heads. However, I am in the US. Shipping will be expensive, but if you don't find anything give me a tinkle.

Cees, when you check your heads, see if you have one with ID 280SEL/SL and casting number 130 016 17 01. I have a location in Germany you can send it to.
