Title: Molding Filling Piece

1967 230SL - Soft top deck interior molding filling piece.
Looks to be a small chrome clip that covers the butt joint between the two pieces
of chrome molding covering the base of the upholstered horseshoe on the interior of the deck.
Part #1137500082.
I can’t seem to locate this anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bob,
This is the cover clip for the rear molding on the soft top deck.
The soft top deck front interior molding cover clip is what I’m looking for.

If it is this trim piece where the arrow is pointing to then both sides go butt-to-butt, there is no cover piece for the joint.
You'll have to fiddle with the two pieces until there is no gap between them.
The part you look for (1137500082) was installed only in the very early 230SL cars until Vin 001350 and then eliminated.
