Sorry all, as I am not experienced with the engine side of the Pagoda at all.
I was trying to follow the wire from the radio fuse box and instead on the way found this -
Does anyone know what this cable plugged by a Philips head screw might be?
The tube itself looks like many around it, but having a screw in the end seems unlikely to be factory 😂
Thanks for any thoughts - the car seems to run fine so hopefully not that important!

Maybe clearer

Looks like vacuum line for distributor...
-
Thanks Sead,
Does that mean it is meant to look like that/would have come from the factory with this line with a screw in it?
-
The line -I believe- is supposed to go to the distributor to provide the vacuum for the ignition advance function. Should be longer and not have a screw in it!
Do you have a vacuum line on your distributor, and if so, where does it come from?
-
Have you tracked the other end? Maybe someone installed the vacuum line attached for the body vacuum port - just easily connect vacuum gauge?
-
To me, looking at the photographs, the line seems to be coming from the bottom of the air intake throttle housing.
Some engines had a swap, where the vacuum line needs to be positioned after rather than before the butterfly flap - or something along those lines. If that was done on your car, it's possible there are two vacuum lines, an original one and an extra, newly installed one, and the one that is not needed was 'plugged' in this messy way. Just a guess.

Well one thing is for certain: it would NEVER have left the factory with a plugged hose and a Phillips screw in it!
