Hello All,
Just watched Kent Bergsma from mercedessource rave on about this stuff for "older engines".
Anybody care to comment on this stuff? Preferably those of us who have used in our cars - - .

I used to deal with the LiquiMoly team both in Germany and in the USA on a regular basis. I would consider them to be a very high-quality manufacturer of motor lubricants. They are certified for use in modern Mercedes engines.
To that end, I askef them if they are certified for use in a modern Mercedes engine, why is it when you open the hood on a modern Mercedes car, you see a label saying something to the effect of “we recommend Mobil 1”…
…to which they replied, “we can’t afford that kind of marketing!!”

I generally trust FCP Euro to supply me with parts and maintenance items for my 'modern' (2000+) cars so when they recommend Liqui Moly oil and fuel system cleaners for my 2013 Mercedes 250 GLK (small displacement bi-turbodiesel - oil quality extra-important) that's what I go with.

I only use lubricants which are factory approved. You can find the approvals at https://operatingfluids.mercedes-benz.com/ there you can find several 229.3 Liqui-Moly 10W-40 with factory approvals.
