Hello,
I wonder if anyone here has seen a car with a Ragtop or had a Ragtop installed in the original Hardtop, please share information.
Seeing that this company sells pre-made kits in the US, is there any company in the European Union that offer similar kits?

Hi, no name,
I have owned a few of these wonderful cars and they all came with a removable hard top an a fold down soft top.
I think they came with an optional, hard top only or only soft top, as well.
However, I believe the “standard option” was, both hard and soft tops.

Have you ever had the hard top off your car to see if there's a soft top under it?
Just wondering, or maybe I'm missing something.

Cabrio Verdeke in Germany can assist with the soft top in various colours. I have fitted about 10 of their soft tops on varius cars in the past, 190SL, Pagodas, 220S Ponton, 280SE cabrio, VW Beetle and Golf Cabrio. I refurbished and used the original sort top frames.
They might be able to help or point you in the correct direction to get a frame for your car, if you don’t already have one hidden under the soft top cover.

Hello, i think Lagolag may be looking for a fabric sunroof to be installed in his hard top
I'm not sure any company would tackle this as a one off, due to the shape of the roof, it may be difficult to get a weathertight seal, but it might be worth asking a few sunroof companies

Sorry for not responding to your answers until now, yes I have both soft top and hard top for my 230SL, I had a brand new Sonnenland top installed when I bought my car three years ago and I use both Hardtop and Soft top frequently.
I have received a response from the company that was linked to my original question but their solution for closure is a bit too amateurish for my taste.
I have bought a hardtop and a Ragtopp from a scrapped modern small car and this will be a project for the coming winter.

I have seen hard-tops with (metal) sun roof conversions, but never a soft-top insert as shown in the link of the original post. I have no doubt that there are (expensive) aftermarket options available. Before regular sunroofs became popular in the US, the company ASC provided conversions and made a name for themselves by doing that.
