Nice video.
What I also really liked was seeing our Group's original logo, living on as the Polish club's!
I was always partial to that image and logo, as being much more dynamic and complimentary of our little SL. Doug Kim got that right.
-
Yes, Artur keeps it proudly there!

Love the footage of the old Liège Sophia Liège race. That must have been an incredibly dirty 230SL when it reached the finish line. The dust was really flying! Was that Bohringer at the wheel?

Interesting that the white Pagoda in the display with black hard top also had a black dashboard.

There were several peculiarities we have discussed here regarding that car. Dash board painting must have been one of the directions considered but abandoned.
She did not have the pad in the engine bay, black valve cover, slightly different hard top...

The Fritz Nallinger car which recently sold at auction had a black dash to match the roof color (black) while the body color was orange. I think this was the plan for all: dash to match roof color (same as hubcaps). I can guess that painting the dash in separate color from the body was far too costly to put into production.

Well done montage. I’ve always loved that soundtrack, “green onions” by Booker T and the MG’s. From 1962.
The astute among you will note two photographs of Alice Bracq, Paul’s wife, in the photos.

Yes, they are there on the pictures. Mr. Bracq and his wife visited our club some years ago, leaving great memories and a handful of signatures on glove box doors of some of our cars.
One of these pictures was quite known, the other one less so...

Enjoyed the video and nothing says the 60's better than the song green onions used as the soundtrack.

Wonderful effort. Booker's "Time is Tight" might have been more APROPOS given the race....LOL.
