Title: Recoring radiator in the MD VA DC area
Post by: menesesjesse on March 06, 2024, 03:19:09
I am looking to do a recore on my 1966 auto radiator.  Does anyone have any recommendations on a place to go within this area?  Thanks

You can try Starrad in Lorton.  The are the combined Arlington Armature and Springfield Radiator.

There is also Smitty's in Landover.

Cheers,

CT

Thanks Chuck.  I’ll check them out.  Had one estimate for 1300.00 which is the cost of a new one so I’m trying to get something in the middle.

I don't know if this helps or not, but I just paid $560 for a re-core in copper.
That is quite a bit more than I paid in 2010, but everything has gone up, including maybe copper.
Good luck,
Mark

That’s about what I paid from SL Tech, $550, in 2011.
