Title: Engine Modification 250- 300E

I am looking to modify a 250SL with a early 90's 300E ( Single Cam )Engine and transmission. I would like to use the existing AC compressor and hope to have this hooked up to existing Vents.
Is any one aware of this having been done and if there are any issues to be aware of.

The two most likely places this may have been attempted are the US and Germany - you could check with the people at Mechatronic in Germany (check the web for their address), they do modern engine conversions for Pagodas and might be able to help you with tips. How about the electronic engine management system, this would seem to me to be an issue to address ...
